Tarbut V’Torah Calls Off Game

Tarbut V’Torah decided Monday not to play its Division V-A second-round boys’ basketball game against West Hills West Valley Christian at Woodland Hills El Camino Real because of concerns about the inclement weather, Lion Coach Patrick Roberts said.
“We’re not sure if we’ll have to forfeit or what,” said Roberts, who informed West Valley Christian of his decision Monday afternoon. “It all depends if they’ll be able to find another gym or what CIF says.”
Tarbut V’Torah (19-4) is third-year program that qualified for the playoffs on a freelance schedule. The Lions notched their first playoff victory in school history last week against Maricopa.
