Pink Dot Inc. in Camarillo, a grocery, household staples and prepared food delivery service, has named Allan S. Huston, retired chief executive of Pizza Hut Inc., and Mitch Telson, former chief operating officer of Circle K Corp., to its board of directors.
“Allan brings us a background in delivery operations, market development and multiunit operations, as well as his familiarity with e-business,” said Dan Frederickson, Pink Dot CEO. “Mitch’s strategic planning, marketing and sales, distribution and operations management experience in the convenience store industry will be invaluable as Pink Dot expands nationally.”
Huston is a 25-year veteran of PepsiCo Inc. He retired as president and CEO of Pizza Hut, where he spearheaded the start-up and development of its delivery business, which grew to $2.5 billion in five years.
Telson has more than 30 years experience in the retail industry. He was chief operating officer of Circle K, which operates 2,500 convenience stores in 28 states with annual sales in excess of $3.6 billion and more than 22,000 employees.
Privately held Pink Dot serves more than 100,000 customers in its food delivery service.
