Mayor Sherri M. Butterfield said the City Council intends to appoint a fifth council member to replace Tom Potocki, who died Dec. 28.
Butterfield said they intend to appoint a replacement at the council’s regular meeting Jan. 17. Residents interested in serving on the council should send a letter of interest or a resume to the city clerk before the next council meeting.
The appointee will serve on the council until November, when the seat will be up for election.
