During one Angel telecast, Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler, while the game was in progress, debated whether a hot dog should be eaten with mustard or ketchup. No wonder that last Saturday in his letter, Alvin Michaelson asked, “Is there any way to make the Angel announcers keep quiet so we can watch the game in peace?”
The answer is to follow the Dodger method of having only one announcer call the play by play. When there are two in the booth, they talk to each other and we eavesdrop on their conversation. Vin Scully talks to us.
