Red Line

* Thanks and commendations to the logistics people who made the Red Line opening weekend so fun. Red Line pride was evident in the employees’ courtesy, high-visibility T-shirts and zero-snags operation. Though at times crowded, the buses and the subway trains were smooth on their tracks, cool, and the people: immigrants, mothers and their strollers, yuppies, old folks, and yes, even Laker fans, were patient and orderly. Our only regrets were the lack of water stations on this very hot Sunday and the fact that Langer’s deli was closed.
Come on down! The trains are safe.
