Westlake Downs Quartz Hill, 8-1

Tiffany Meadows had two hits, two runs batted in and scored twice for Westlake High in an 8-1 victory over Quartz Hill in a Hart tournament game Saturday at Santa Clarita Central Park.
Erin Voeltz had eight strikeouts in four innings, giving her 19 strikeouts in the last two games, for Westlake (2-0), ranked No. 6 in the region by The Times.
Later in the day, Kelly Cox hit an run-scoring single in the third inning for Quartz Hill (1-1), ranked No. 10, in a 4-2 victory over Santa Monica.
Cox had four hits in the two games.
In other Hart tournament games:
Highland 4, Valencia 0--Nicole Rawson had nine strikeouts and Robin Hauptman had a double and two RBIs for the Bulldogs (1-0) in a first-round game at Santa Clarita Central Park.
Harvard-Westlake 1, El Camino Real 0--Anna Russell had nine strikeouts in a one-hitter for the Wolverines in a second-round victory.
Hart 2, Hoover 0--Sara Dean hit a run-scoring double to break a scoreless tie in the top of the seventh at Hart.
Danielle Cole drove in Dean with a single.
Hart (2-0) defeated Sylmar, 1-0, in an earlier game, when Bridgette Colleran (1-0) had six strikeouts and Amanda Fortune had seven in a combined two-hitter.
Casey Pickard hit a run-scoring single came in the top of the sixth inning.
In the Simi Valley tournament:
Calabasas 3, Hueneme 1--Amy Rosson pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts for the Coyotes in the first round at Rancho Simi Community Park.
Heather Bell had two doubles and two RBIs for Calabasas.
Moorpark 2, La Reina 1--Sarah Bridges scored from third on a two-out error in the bottom of the eighth and the Musketeers won at Rancho Simi Community Park.
Tara Barker of Moorpark (1-0) pitched a five-hitter, striking out one and walking one.
Mackenzie Vandergeest of La Reina had two hits.
In La Reina’s second game of the day, freshman K.C. Robertson pitched a four-hitter, allowing no earned runs and had three strikeouts in the Regents’ 8-1 victory over San Marcos.
Vandergeest hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning for La Reina (1-1), and Jenny Ortez had two hits, including a run-scoring single.
Kennedy 6, Navarro 1--Marlena Aguirre had two doubles and two RBIs, and freshman Erica Navarro had five strikeouts while pitching a four-hitter in her first start for the Golden Cougars (3-0) in a second-round game at Oxnard.
Mater Dei 1-3, Chaminade 0-0--Tia Bollinger pitched a no-hitter and a two-hitter for the Monarchs in a nonleague game at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.
Bollinger struck out nine and walked none in the first game, losing her bid for a perfect game in the seventh inning Tory Yamaguchi reached base on an error.
In the second game, Bollinger struck out 11 and walked two.
