Two Palmdale brothers were arrested in the stabbing of a deputy responding to a disturbance call in their house, officials said Wednesday.
Roy Ericson, 26, and Leroy Ericson, 25, remained in custody. Leroy was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and Roy on suspicion of assault and resisting arrest, Sgt. John Hargraves said.
The brothers threw beer bottles at deputies when they arrived at the house in the 37400 block of Calle Mazatland on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy William McCormick struggled with Leroy, who pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed McCormick in the left side of his back, Hargraves said.
McCormick was treated and released from Providence Holy Cross Medical Center on Tuesday night.
“Both men were drunk, assaulting their own family and our deputies,” Hargraves said.
