The Gary Center, which provides counseling, dental and other health services to women and children, will provide free breast cancer screening in conjunction with the YWCA of North Orange County’s second annual Mammogram-a-thon on Friday.
Doctors will teach women how to examine themselves once a month, as well as educate them about the dangers of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
Screenings will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include a breast exam by a doctor, a mammogram and self-exam instructions. The Gary Center is at 341 Hillcrest St. Information: (714) 935-9720.
