Masked Man Kills 3 at Amsterdam Eatery

A gunman wearing an ape mask opened fire inside a Japanese restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam’s tourist district, killing three people, police said. Police spokesman Arie van Zandbergen said the early evening attack occurred as diners at the Kobe restaurant were settling down for a meal. No one was arrested, and the victims were not immediately identified. A local television channel quoted witnesses as saying the gunman apparently carefully selected his victims.
