Keep Gun Off the Table

* Re “Gun-Carrying Councilman,” (Letters, Oct. 22):
All right, you gun nuts who wrote in support of Fountain Valley Councilman Chuck Conlosh and his loaded weapon. Get real. What business does an elected official have leaving his loaded gun on the table at City Council meetings?
Other than publicly displaying his obvious paranoia or an arrogant attempt at intimidation of his constituents or fellow council members, I see no obvious reason.
I don’t have a problem with him carrying it directly on his person; that is his privilege as a former police officer. But gimme a break, Chuck, leaving it out in the open does not speak well of your respect for your colleagues or the public in general.
