The Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton expects to open a before- and after-school program at Valencia Park by December.
The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to let the club use the public park and set up a portable building there for day care and youth-oriented activities. A city-sponsored recreational program at the park, called Playgrounds-on-the-Go, will be moved to Orangethorpe School.
All costs associated with the temporary building and the programs offered there will be paid for by the club. Either party can terminate the agreement with 60 days’ notice.
