Garden Grove Has Field Day Against La Quinta

Keo Sutherland ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more as Garden Grove beat La Quinta, 49-12, Friday in a Garden Grove League game at Garden Grove High.
The Argonauts (1-3-1, 1-1) scored on their first five possessions, and Sutherland had a hand in each score.
The senior quarterback gave Garden Grove a 7-0 lead with a 40-yard run finishing an 87-yard drive. Nick Genert kicked the first of his seven PATs.
Garden Grove took a 14-0 lead when Sutherland fumbled into the end zone, only to have teammate Fui Taumofoelau recover for the score.
Sutherland paced the Argonauts with 113 yards rushing in 16 carries, but he had plenty of help from Adam Deneal and Thomas Parrilla. Deneal ran for 82 yards in 13 carries and Parrilla contributed 68 yards in five carries.
La Quinta (1-4, 0-2) was paced by Pablo Reyes, who had 120 yards rushing and a 12-yard touchdown in 19 carries.
Garden Grove put the game away when it scored 28 points in the second quarter. Sutherland got it started by passing nine yards to Juan Delgado for a 21-0 lead.
Felipe Garcia caught a 24-yard pass from Sutherland to increase the lead to 28-0. It was 35-0 after Sutherland ran in from one yard with 1:40 left.
Then 24 seconds later, Parrilla ran 45 yards for a 42-0 halftime lead.
