Children Find Body of Baby Girl in Backyard

Two children playing in a Compton backyard Tuesday found a dead baby partially buried and wrapped in a bag, authorities said.
The three-week to a month-old baby girl was found behind a residence on the 1300 block of Butler Avenue near Compton Boulevard about 5 p.m., said Sheriff’s Lt. Tracee Edmonds. Sheriff’s homicide detectives were investigating the death. Anyone with information is asked to call (323) 890-5500.
