Kamensky Signs With the Stars

The Dallas Stars capped a busy week of retooling their roster by signing left wing Valeri Kamensky on Thursday to a one-year contract with an option for a second season.
Kamensky is coming off two disappointing seasons with the New York Rangers, registering only 66 points in 123 games.
He scored at least 20 goals in four of his previous eight seasons.
The New Jersey Devils signed Tommy Albelin, bringing the veteran defenseman back to the team with which he won a Stanley Cup in 1995. . . . The St. Louis Blues signed checking forward Mike Keane, a 10-goal scorer for Dallas last season, to a multiyear contract, and also signed defenseman Rich Pilon to a one-year deal. . . . The Philadelphia Flyers signed Eric Weinrich, an unrestricted free agent from the Boston Bruins, to a three-year deal. . . . Center Mike Sillinger signed a three-year, $5.5-million contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. . . . The New York Islanders signed Ken Sutton away from the Devils, agreeing to a two-year contract with the defenseman.
