A 26-year-old Lancaster man was shot in the back early Tuesday morning while sitting in his car at a gas station, authorities said.
Patrick Redman was parked at the station at Division Street and Avenue J about 12:15 a.m. when a man walked up and shot him with a handgun, said Deputy Dan Burdick of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Redman drove to his home nearby and called authorities, Burdick said. He was airlifted to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he was in fair condition Wednesday afternoon.
