Woman’s Medical Data Ordered Off Internet

Anti-abortion activists who posted a patient’s photo and medical records on the Internet have been ordered by a judge to remove them, but they remained online two days after the court order.
The fuzzy photo and two-page hospital record are accompanied by an article describing how the patient suffered a torn cervix during an abortion at the Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City, Ill.
The patient is not identified by name, but there are details about her family and hometown.
She has sued the activists who posted the information, accusing them of exposing her to “public humiliation and ridicule.”
