The 21st annual Baroque Music Festival Corona del Mar opens with a program of concertos by Vivaldi and Poulenc’s Concerto for Organ, Strings and Timpani. Festival director Burton Karson will conduct. The soloist in the Poulenc concerto, which is based on a theme by Bach, will be British organist Andrew Arthur.

With or without a new album, Junior Brown remains a marvel in concert. He happily careens from period honky-tonk to scorching blues to pounding surf rock with the greatest of ease. He and his hybrid guit-steel guitar return to the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana.
