Ice skating is often compared to ballet, so why not create an ice-skating ballet company? That’s what the Soviets did in 1967, when the St. Petersburg State Ice Ballet made its debut. The 31-member company will perform “Cinderella” at Orange Coast College. The troupe was created by Konstantin Rassadin, a former principal dancer with the Kirov Ballet. The company brings its own ice rink to every performance.
