11 Lebanese Held in President’s Slaying

Eleven Lebanese nationals have been arrested in connection with the assassination of Congolese President Laurent Kabila, officials and human rights activists said.
Floribert Chebeya Bahizire of the Voice of the Voiceless rights group said the 11 were arrested Jan. 16, the night Kabila was shot.
The government confirmed the arrests.
A witness to the events after the assassination said the names of those arrested were found on a list in the pocket of the assassin, a bodyguard who was later killed.
