Unbeaten Foothill Wins Two in Arizona

Foothill, the top-ranked softball team in Orange County, improved its record to 8-0 by defeating Farmington (N.M.) and Tucson Sahuaro in the Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Ariz.
In the first game, Foothill combined effective hitting and aggressive baserunning to defeat Farmington, 7-1.
The Knights, 3-0 in the tournament, had 12 hits and seven stolen bases, four of them by Autumn Champion. Courtney Fossatti pitched a two-hitter and struck out 12.
In the second game, Tiffany Haas’ three-run double to center field in the third inning powered Foothill to a 7-3 victory over Sahuaro. Pauline Glenn’s two home runs accounted for Sahuaro’s runs.
