Artists Group to Bestow Achievement Awards

The fifth annual Professional Artists in Schools Awards banquet, to be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion’s Grand Hall at the Music Center, will present lifetime achievement awards to composer-lyricist and performer Rob Bowers, artist Olga Ponce Furginson, “stand-up cartoonist” Jon Pearson and dancer-choreographer Lula Washington.
The awards were founded by arts educators Paul Tracey and Susan Cambigue-Tracey, and are decided by leading Los Angeles arts-in-education organizations.
