From Times Staff Reports
Military reservists called to active duty will receive full county pay for six months under a plan approved unanimously by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
Thirteen county government employees have been activated to serve for up to one year. Without the board’s action, they would have lost their county wages after two months.
Supervisors agreed that pay should be extended to six months to help stabilize life for the reservists’ families.
The reservists’ health benefits have already been extended for six months.
