Vans Collide; Baby Girl Is in Critical Condition

Nine family members, five of them children, were injured Monday morning when their passenger van collided with a utility van, police said.
One of the children, a 6-month-old girl, remained in critical condition late Monday with a fractured skull, police said.
The other eight family members were taken to area hospitals and treated for minor injuries; most were soon released. The driver of the utility van was not injured.
Police said the collision happened about 9 a.m. at 1st and Lacy streets.
Neither driver was cited, though the investigation is continuing, police said.
