Nun, Priest Arrested in Latest Vieques Protest

A nun and an Episcopalian priest were held for trespassing, and tear gas was used by military police, as about 50 people demonstrated against Navy bombing on Vieques island. Since exercises began Monday, 14 people have been arrested for trespassing on Navy land.
A Navy spokesman said tear gas was used after protesters threw “rocks and debris at Navy vehicles.”
