Police are seeking a man who attacked a woman in Yorba Linda, then fled after she kicked him in the shin.
The 46-year-old woman was walking east on Esperanza Road toward New River about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday when the man--whom she had seen exposing himself under a bridge--ran down a ramp, grabbed her from behind and pulled her toward some bushes, according to Det. Kory Dodd, a spokesman for the Brea Police Department.
The woman, trained in martial arts, fought off the man before jumping a fence and flagging down a motorist.
The attacker, who fled on foot in an unknown direction, was described as about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 160 to 180 pounds, with dark brown hair, bloodshot green eyes and a face appearing “weathered and rough,” police said.
