U.S. Women Reach Under-19 Final

EDMONTON, Canada — Kelly Wilson scored two goals as the U.S. team advanced to the final of the inaugural FIFA under-19 women’s soccer world championships Thursday night with a 4-1 victory over Germany.
Wilson scored her eighth and ninth goals of the tournament, and Lindsay Tarpley scored in the first half to give the U.S. team a 3-1 lead at halftime of the semifinal match.
Midfielder Jill Oakes of West Hills added a fourth goal.
The U.S. will play Canada in the final on Sunday.
Canada beat Brazil, 4-3, on penalty kicks.
