United Cuts Leisure Fares on Most Routes

United Airlines reduced fares by as much as 20% on almost all 1,800 daily flights from January to early April.
The leisure fare sale is United’s first since it filed for bankruptcy protection Dec. 9. Much of United’s sale appears to match competitors’ current rates, and rivals already had matched United where fares were lower, Bestfares.com said.
UAL Corp. shares fell 11 cents to $1.38 on the NYSE.
