Brandin Knight scored 17 points and teamed with teammate Julius Page to shut down Ohio State standout Brent Darby, and No. 4-ranked Pittsburgh (7-0) defeated the Buckeyes, 69-49, Wednesday night at Pittsburgh.
The Panthers limited Darby, who was averaging 21 points, to three points. Page led Pittsburgh with 18 points.
Ohio State is 3-3.
No. 16 Mississippi State 78, Georgia State 54 -- Mario Austin had 24 points and 10 rebounds at Jackson, Miss., and the Bulldogs (7-1) won their seventh in a row.
The Bulldogs held Georgia State scoreless for more than seven minutes in the second half.
Cedric Patton had 21 points for the Panthers.

The Longhorns shot 78% in the first half. It was the first game between the schools in 20 years....Freshman Shawntinice Polk had 26 points and 11 rebounds for her seventh double-double in as many games, and No. 23 Arizona (5-2) defeated New Mexico, 70-61, at Tucson. The Lobos (8-2) had an eight-game winning streak ended.
