Trumpeter-vocalist Nate Birkey will perform with his quintet at Michael D’s Santa Rosa Cafe, a rare venue in the area still serving up regular jazz programming. Birkey’s sidemen will include saxophonist Justin Claveria, bassist Jim Connolly and drummer Cougar Estrada. Expect to hear
empathetic jazz interplay via cool-toned vocal treatments of standards and originals.
