Presidential Pardons

Well, I see that the compassionately conservative Bush comedy team has gone soft on crime, even going so far as to clear the record of a 1962 moonshiner (“Bush Gives First Pardons to 7 Men in Minor Cases,” Dec. 24). What will some people do for laughs? Better not go too far, though. If this continues, they will soon be letting people get away with removing mattress tags!
