Wildlife Wars

The killing of pigs on Santa Cruz and Catalina Islands is an admission of failure to properly manage California wildlife (“U.S. to Aid Island’s War on Wild Pigs,” Feb. 6). For a national park official to be “jumping up and down on this one”--the wholesale slaughter of thousands of animals--is deplorable. Once the island foxes recover and overpopulate, they too will be shot, when the only solution is death.
