Clarendon Carries Eisenhower

Junior forward Jasmine Clarendon of Rialto Eisenhower High scored her team’s final six points to help the Eagles defeat Westchester, 56-51, in the seventh-place game of the Chino Hills Ayala girls’ basketball tournament on Saturday.
Clarendon, who had 11 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, gave Eisenhower (13-2) its first lead of the game with 1:50 left in the fourth quarter when her putback of a missed shot put the Eagles ahead, 52-51.
Junior guard Laura Dinkins had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Eisenhower, the No. 24-ranked team in the region by The Times.
Westchester (8-7) is ranked 15th.

In other girls’ basketball games:
Chino Hills Ayala 49, La Puente Bishop Amat 45--Kia Riley scored 22 points for the host Bulldogs (11-4) in the fifth-place game of the Ayala tournament. Chasmine Jones scored 20 points for 22nd-ranked Bishop Amat (14-4).
Santa Margarita 61, San Diego Mt. Carmel 49--Julia Pederson had 29 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for Santa Margarita (12-2) in the championship game of the Mt. Carmel tournament.
Irvine Woodbridge 41, Fullerton Rosary 33--Lauren Riley scored 13 points to lead 13th-ranked Woodbridge (13-2) to victory in the nonleague game at home. Karen Enright had 10 points for Rosary (10-8) .

In boys’ soccer:
La Canada St. Francis 1, Encino Crespi 0--Daniel Paladini scored in the 20th minute off a pass from Carlos Marco in the Mission League game at St. Francis. Paladini, a senior midfielder, has a team-high 13 goals for defending Southern Section Division IV champion St. Francis (9-0-4, 1-0-1).
Goalkeeper Sean O’Connor posted his fifth shutout.
