Paternity Suit Against Leader to Be Reviewed

Peru’s Supreme Court has agreed to review a paternity suit claiming that President Alejandro Toledo is the father of a 14-year-old girl, the leader’s lawyer said.
Leila Cavero told Radioprogramas radio station that the decision suspends a recent lower court ruling that had ordered Toledo to submit to a DNA test Aug. 7 to resolve the case.
Cavero said the Supreme Court will consider a motion to drop the suit, in which Lucrecia Orozco claims that the president fathered her daughter, Zarai.
