Ex-Ky. Governor’s Son Aims for Seat

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Republican state Rep. Steve Nunn formed an exploratory campaign for governor Tuesday, promising to build on the legacy of his father, the state’s last GOP governor.
Louie Nunn, who served from 1967 to 1971 stood nearby as his son said he was proud of his political heritage.
Two other Republicans have formed exploratory campaigns for governor: Jefferson County Judge-Executive Rebecca Jackson and state Sen. Virgil Moore. Rep. Ernie Fletcher is considered a possible candidate.
