Worker Falls Into Sand Hopper, Dies

A worker was killed Monday when he apparently fell into a large sand hopper, and a second worker who tried to save him was pulled to safety.
Jose Ramirez, 37, of Anaheim was buried in 45 feet of a sandy building material about 2 p.m. at Angelus Block Co., 1705 N. Main St. The other man was buried to his waist when firefighters rescued him.
