From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Criminal charges will be sought against three California Highway Patrol officers accused of abusing their authority.
CHP Commissioner D.O. “Spike” Helmick would not name them, but investigations have focused on Capt. Eli Molina and ex-division chief Gary Dominguez.
Molina allegedly used officers to direct traffic for a wedding at his home, and ordered others to attend political fund-raisers. Helmick said allegations against Dominguez are “more personal.”
In addition, Sgt. Alfredo Lopez is accused of improper use of the criminal information system.
