Court Hears Testimony in Beauty Queen Flap

A beauty pageant official testified in Raleigh that the recently reinstated Miss North Carolina said she didn’t see anything wrong with snapshots showing her topless because she had planned to marry the man who took them.
Rebekah Revels, 24, of St. Pauls, resigned in July after her former fiance sent an e-mail to Miss America officials saying he had the photos. But a judge last week returned the title to Revels, pending the result of the hearing.
Revels, who said she was forced to resign, has sued the former fiance, Tosh Welch, saying he took the photos while she was changing clothes.
State pageant executive Alan Clouse testified that Revels told the pageant board that she saw nothing wrong with the photographs.
