Quiksilver Inc.’s earnings rose 11% in its fiscal third quarter to $8.85 million, or 36 cents a share, beating analysts’ average forecast of 32 cents. Sales grew 12% to $174 million.

* Coastcast Corp., a Rancho Dominguez-based maker of stainless steel and titanium golf-club heads, said it had cut nearly 2,000 jobs, or 60% of its work force, this year and said it would be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange. The company’s shares, which have fallen 56% this year, closed up 1 cent at $2.25.
