Burger King Plans a 99-Cent Menu

Burger King Corp. said it is launching a 99-cent menu in a move that promises to fan the flames of a hamburger price war among the nation’s biggest fast-food chains.
The new menu is a permanent part of the chain’s offerings and not a promotion, Miami-based Burger King said. The launch comes less than one week after McDonald’s Corp. said it would roll out a dollar menu nationwide starting in November.
