Katie Kurrells, Atascadero: Recorded 14 kills and nine digs in a 16-14, 15-12, 15-7 nonleague victory over Thousand Oaks La Reina.
Liz Lazzari, Cassie Whitcombe, Anaheim Connelly: Lazzari had seven kills and Whitcombe had 15 assists in a 15-8, 15-1 victory over Cantwell Sacred Heart in a semifinal of the Rio Hondo Prep tournament.
Breanne Walter, Cypress Oxford Academy: Had 11 aces in 15-1, 15-0, 15-1 victory over San Juan Capistrano Saddleback Valley Christian.

Amber Marsden, Alhambra Keppel: Swept her sets at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1, in a victory over Rowland Heights Rowland, 77-72 on games, after the match was tied at 9.
Katie Callaghan, Raine Mitchell , Chantelle Limon, Ventura St. Bonaventure: Each swept her sets at love in an 18-0 victory over Santa Maria St. Joseph.
Caitlin Halsey, Jessica Harris, Pasadena Mayfield: Halsey swept her sets, 6-0, 6-2, 6-1, and Harris swept hers, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2, in an 11-7 victory over La Canada.
Christine and Catherine Ricohermoso, Anaheim Katella: Christine swept, 6-0, 6-1, in singles and then teamed with sister Catherine to win, 6-1, in doubles in a victory over Anaheim Western, 80-67 on games, after the match was tied at 10 1/2.
Jessica Rice, Huntington Beach Edison: Swept her matches at No. 1 singles in 13-5 victory over Irvine Northwood.

BOYS’ WATER POLO
Charles Hsu, San Marino: Scored five goals and drew six ejections in an 11-7 victory over Bell Gardens at the 18-team Bell Gardens tournament.
Jordan Watson, Palos Verdes: Had four goals in a 13-6 victory over Magnolia in the Bell Gardens tournament.
John Prunckle, Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula: Had 11 saves in a 10-5 victory over Palos Verdes Chadwick. The Panthers advance to a semifinal against tournament host Long Beach Millikan today at Belmont Plaza, Long Beach.
David Mills, Kevin Guerin, Los Alamitos: Each scored four goals in an 18-5 victory over Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills in the second round of the Harvard-Westlake tournament.
