Strong Capital Management Inc., one of the first U.S. money management firms identified in improper trading investigations, said Wednesday that three bond fund managers resigned.
Ashok Bhatia, Thomas Sontag and John Bonnell are leaving Strong, said Drew Wineland, a spokesman for the Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based company. They’ve been replaced on nine funds, including the $1.8-billion Strong Ultra Short-Term Income Fund.
Wineland, who declined to say why the managers were leaving, said their resignations were unrelated to the trading investigations.
Thirty-one members of the bond team remain with the company, Wineland said.
