D.A. Won’t Prosecute 24 Antiwar Protesters

OAKLAND
The Alameda County district attorney’s office has dismissed charges against 24 activists who protested against the Iraq war in April 2003 at the Port of Oakland.
A short statement Thursday explained that “the decision to dismiss the charges was made in the interest of justice and with the agreement of the Oakland Police Department.”
