Prime Minister Wins Presidential Election

Liberal Prime Minister Branko Crvenkovski was elected president with 62% of the vote, the electoral commission said. But his conservative opponent claimed voter fraud and demanded the result be annulled. Crvenkovski would replace Boris Trajkovski, a highly respected politician who died in a February plane crash in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
