Stabbing Suspects Had Been to Conflict Session

Two teen girls arrested in the stabbing of a 13-year-old girl outside Santa Cruz High School had attended a conflict-resolution session hours earlier at the alternative school they attend, authorities said.
The suspected stabber apparently believed that the victim had told a rumor about her to a boy, Sgt. Brad Goodwin said. The alleged attackers, ages 13 and 14, were arrested Monday at the home of one of the girls.
The victim was recovering at Stanford Medical Center, authorities said.
