Eisner Foes Seek Order to Unseal Documents

Former Walt Disney Co. directors Roy E. Disney and Stanley P. Gold are asking a Delaware Chancery Court to unseal documents related to the compensation of Disney Chief Executive Michael Eisner.
The two dissident directors, who resigned last year and are pushing for Eisner to step down, asked a judge Feb. 10 to order the company to turn over materials listing shareholders and owners of retirement plans.
The company delivered the documents, although some were designated confidential, the two said in a letter to Disney’s board.
Roy Disney and Gold asked why the company continued to oppose making public the facts about Eisner’s compensation in fiscal 2002 and 2003. The company could not be reached for comment.
