Simi Valley Man Found Fatally Shot

A 31-year-old Simi Valley man died Tuesday after being shot several times.
Michael Paul Budfuloski was found dead by his wife about 5 a.m. just inside their home on Rio Vista Court. He had been shot in his upper body, Simi Valley police said.
Neighbors had reported a fight in the street outside the Budfuloski home 30 minutes earlier, but no one was there when police arrived, authorities said.
Budfuloski worked nights and usually returned home about 4:30 a.m. Robbery did not appear to be a motive, police said.
The slaying was the fourth homicide this year in Ventura County, compared with 14 at this time last year.
