Kids’ WB! is moving into live-action shows this summer with its first original movie and a hidden-camera prank show called “Gagsters.” The movie, “Zolar,” follows a band of semi-pro athletes who discover their newest team member is an alien. It will include cameos from sports stars.
In the fall, the network’s Saturday morning schedule will add the previously announced series “The Batman” and an animated program tentatively called “Da Boom Crew,” which it calls a “hip-hop sci-fi” series following the “intergalactic adventures of four orphans.”
New series on corporate cousin Cartoon Network include “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends” from Craig McCracken, the creator of the popular “Powerpuff Girls.”
