State Executes Man Convicted in Slaying

A death row inmate was executed in Huntsville for a fatal beating and stabbing in 1986.
Peter Miniel, 42, had welcomed the death penalty and asked his attorney to file no more appeals. He was the 15th prisoner executed in Texas this year, and the second in as many days.
