Lakers Hoping That 8 Is Enough

I admire your guts, Jerry Buss. You listened when your star player told you to dump the coach in the 1980s and I hope it works again. I think it will.

I was appalled to read Mike Bresnahan’s story of Oct. 25 wherein he described the rude treatment of poor Kobe Bryant during a pregame interview. Apparently an L.A. Times sportswriter had the unmitigated gall and temerity to question Kobe about his relationship with the great Ray Allen.
Of course Kobe became very upset because apparently Ray Allen, along with most basketball players and fans, doesn’t have a very high opinion of Kobe’s character.
Surely Kobe should be protected from such rude treatment! All questions for Kobe should be vetted through Kobe’s valet, Mr. Kupchak, or his masseur, Dr. Buss. Something must be done before some blundering sportswriter asks him a really upsetting question, such as whether or not he plans to ever pass the ball this season.
