Re “Statewide Ban on Indian Mascots Is Considered,” April 13: With all the problems facing the state, from budgets to roads to crime to educational issues as well, why don’t Assemblywoman Jackie Goldberg (D-Los Angeles) and her legislative colleagues find something more important to work on than banning Indian mascots?
How will changing the mascots help Native American children, or any children for that matter, learn anything better?
